EXL: Alec Lemmon returns to Ostrava
Reigning Extraliga champion Arrows Ostrava didn’t have a good start to the season. But their fortune might change as they announced a new player. American pitcher Alec Lemmon returns to Northern Moravia.
Same as in the previous season Lemmon joins Ostrava while the season is underway. In the previous year he only played two games in the regular season and he entered both as a reliever. He only played as a starter when TOP 6 begun. In the end, he played 8 games, throwing 47 innings with 3.26 ERA and 64 SO. He also started 2 times in the Czech Series against Draci earning the win in both of them.
Arrows had been having troubles with injuries at the beginning of the season and their batting didn’t excel either. For this reason Ostrava team is currently in 6th place. The quality of the team will be certainly increased with Lemmon’s arrival. Furthermore, he should also increase their chances in Champions Cup.
