EXL: Tempo won in the second game against Eagles
Czech Extraliga continued with a game on Tuesday, when Eagles faced Tempo.
Both teams started the best pitchers available, Tempo with Ethan Skuija, while Eagles sent in Tomáš Duffek. And their skill showed as the fans had to wait till the second half of the game to see the first runs scored. Visiting Tempo didn’t even had a hit in the first five innings.
But once Tempo managed to break the Tomáš Duffek’s magic, they did it in style and scored two runs. On the other hand Skuija only allowed 3 hits and no runs in seven innings he pitched. Furthermore, he added 15 strikeouts, which broke his personal record in Extraliga.
The end of the game belonged to Anthony Fell and Tadeáš Zavadil. While Tempo reliever allowed 3 more runs, Fell managed to keep the visitors with only one run allowed. Eagles managed to load the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning thanks to defensive errors, however, they were unable to score more than a run. Tempo won in the second game against Eagles, winning the third series so far.
