Aleš Navrátil reached 1100 Extraliga hits milestone

Experienced Arrows Ostrava player Aleš Navrátil reached a new Extraliga milestone in the Sunday game against Eagles Praha. As the first player in history of the league he got 1100 hits to his name.

Forty eight year old playing coach of Arrows missed 2 hits to the milestone before the game begun. The first one came in the second inning, when he got a single against Tomáš Duffek. In the fourth inning with his second at bat he finally got his history breaking hit, after he managed another single, locating the ball between the shortstop and an infielder of Eagles.

But it wasn’t all, as Navrátil earned one more hit in the ninth inning against Tadeáš Zavadil, beginning his journey towards 1200 hits. Ostrava player doesn’t need to worry anyone catching up with him anytime soon. Pavel Budský is the only player with more than 1000 hits, but he’s still missing almost 80 hits to Navrátil.
