College Baseball: Padyšák as a starter again. Bauer in All Stars team

Beside the success of Marek Chlup in North Greenville, there were two more Czechs playing in the previous league.

Daniel Padyšák playing for Division I team Charleston Southern got an opportunity as the starter in the Thursday game against Longwood Lancers. He kept his opponents scoreless in the first two innings. However, he had to be substituted in the third as he was unable to get any outs from four batters. In the end it didn’t cost his team, as Charleston won 7-3 and swept their opponent. This also meant the end of the regular season for CSU, that they finished with 21-28 record. They have a positive record 13-11 in Big South conference and will play in the final tournament from the fifth spot. It starts on Wednesday for CSU with a game against High Point. If they were to lose, the season would end for them.

After winning in District Champions, Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs, with David Bauer, played the regional tournament. They finished in the semifinals, where they lost 5-2 against Island Coast. Bauer had a double from 2 AB and was walked once. Despite the season ending for Chiefs, David Bauer continues to play, as he will be a part of All Stars tournament. Furthermore, he was also awarded three individual awards:

1 – District player of the Year
2 – All District Team OF
3 – Senior All Star Private Team OF
