Czech Baseball Cup: Skokani Olomouc done after the second pre-round
The second pre-round of this year’s Czech Baseball Cup was played over the weekend. It was also the first round where teams from First League played and we already got to see an upset.
SaBaT Praha B managed to take the 6-4 win against Skokani Olomouc, and so Skokani will leave the cup early this year. SaBaT B, who play the regional league, can now look forward to the first round against Sokol Hluboká. They will play against Extraliga team at least twice, as the first round is played as the best of three.
SaBaT A also moves through the pre-round, after winning 8-6 against Rýchory. The most dominant win was seen when Jablonec played Šumperk, when the game finished 37-0 for the First League team. There were a lot of runs seen in the game between Liberec and Frýdek-Místek. The game finished 23-9.
We will be able to see plenty of interesting series in the next round. There will be a series between the two teams that were demoted from Extraliga in the previous season. The next round will be played on 11th and 12th of June.
