EXL: Tempo won against Ostrava and ensured the second spot in the regular reason

Saturday saw the remaining game between Arrows Ostrava and Tempo Praha take place. Visiting team could ensure the second spot in the regular season.

Home team started with Josef Cihlář, who currently doesn’t have a good season. Unfortunately, he showed once again, this is not his year, and had to be pulled during the third inning, after he allowed 5 runs. He was substituted after allowing a three run homerun by Keibert Petit. Alec Lemmon came from bullpen, adding 3.2 innings, where he only allowed 1 run and striked out 5 batters. The last three innings were they wrapped up by Ondřej Satoria. Tempo scored one run against him.

Tempo started Jake Rabinowitz, who remained on the mound for 5 innings, allowing 4 runs (3 ER). Rabinowitz had a bit of an issue with the control, he walked 7 players. Anthony Fell then finished the game.

An interesting exchange happened in the home team, when Boris Bokaj moved in the catcher position instead of Martin Kubovčík. Bokaj previously batted this season having one single and a walk. He will finish the regular season with the best number of his career (BA .666/ OBP .750).

After the loss, Ostrava finished the regular season with 10 wins and 11 losses, which is enough to get the sixth spot. Tempo will play one more game against Eagles Praha, but since they already have two wins against their city rival, they are certain to take second spot in the regular season.
