Marek Chlup will play in MLB draft league
Last year saw the first edition of MLB draft league being played, where players, who have a large chance of being picked in the following draft, would play. And it only took one year to have a Czech representative in the league.
West Virginia Black Bears will have Marek Chlup on their roster for 2022 season. His excellent performance at North Greenville University didn’t go unnoticed by MLB scouts and so Chlup will get the chance to show his craft in MLB affiliated league. The league itself starts on 3rd of June and each team should play 80 game. It should end in September and will be suspended for a week during All-Star Game when MLB draft will take place. Marek Chlup could hence become the first Czech player to be drafted by an MLB team.
