MiLB: Vojtěch Menšík starred in Single-A game
LA Angels minors team Inland Empire 66ers played against San Jose Giants on Tuesday. 66ers won 11-8 thanks no small part to Czech player Vojtěch Menšík.
Menšík was the best batter of the game by far, when he got 4 hits from 4 AB. Czech started in the first inning with a triple to the left field which scored in the fourth run of his team.
With another hit in the third inning he scored in the sixth run of 66ers. In the fifth inning he added an important hit while the game was tied at 7-7, this time scoring in his teammate from the second base giving his team the lead. He had to wait till his fourth hit not to get an RBI, but soon after he himself got to score a run.
Vojtěch Menšík played 28 games so far, with BA .227 and OBP .306. He was also able to steal 7 bases from 10 attempts. Currently he only has 2 errors in the defense, despite playing in all the infield positions beside the first baseman.
