EXL: Lineup of the Month – May
The second month of the current season is over and we bring you, in collaboration with Czech Baseball Association, Lineup of the Month.
It was easy to pick the pitcher this month. Ethan Skuija was the only starter who pushed his ERA below 0.94. In 28.2 IP he also managed 50 SO. As far as relievers go, it was Juan Jaime who is yet to allow a run and has 26 SO in 14.1 IP.
Martin Červenka excelled among batters in May. His BA was .487, but he also had 14 RBI and 4HR. Jaylyn Williams from Třebíč was only one hit behind Červenka, but there were 5 players who batted over .400 in the previous month. Beside the two we already mentioned it was also Matěj Menšík, Eugene Helder and Ryan Johnson and all of them found a place in our pick.
Petr Síla from Hluboká got into the lineup in the outfield. While he mostly played in the center field, the position was taken by Draci player Arnošt Dubový. Sokol player caught our interest with high OBP (.517) but also with 7 SB, which topped the league’s stats.
