First League: The regular season finished

The last few games were played over the weekend in the regular season of the First League. While the first four teams were already known, teams could approach these games as a preparation for the Promotion League.

SaBaT Praha – Klasik Frýdek-Místek 18-7 (7 inn.) and 6-7

Frýdek-Místek who is currently the last in the standings faced SaBaT for a chance to avoid the last place in the standings. But they needed to beat Prague two times. However, their hopes were buried by Kryštof Dupal in the first game, as he gave SaBaT the win. SaBaT was also successful with their bats, when their players had 15 hits and 5 walks. Michal Kříž was only a single away from Cycle.

The second game was much closer and it came down to the last inning. SaBaT entered it winning 5-4. Furthermore, after a wild pitch from Šimon Urban, Kryštof Dupal increased the score to 6-4. Kryštof Kavan had a chance to close the game and earn a complete game. But this didn’t come to be. Klasik first loaded the bases with one out, for sixteen year old talent Adrián Mück double to get Frýdek-Místek the walk-off win.

Olympia Blansko – Skokani Olomouc 11-1 and 12-5

Kotlářka Praha - Blesk Jablonec 2-11 and 1-11 (7 inn.)

Jablonec lost the first game of the season, but only kept winning afterwards. They continued with the winning streak winning against Kotlářka with two dominant wins. Jablonec could rely on good performance from their starters, who only allowed 3 runs in two games. They also played their new signing Ramon Ulacio for the first time, who threw 3 innings without allowing any runs. He also striked out 6 batters. We could also see Aliaksei Kachurka in the lineup for the first time this year, who ended up with 3 hits from 3 AB and added a walk. Oto Vrána dominated the second game with 4-for-6.

Both teams will now play in Promotion League where they will play five more games against each other.
