nEXL: Hluboká and Technika beat first-leaguers
Promotion League continued with 5 games over the weekend. This time it was Extraliga teams that faced teams from First League and in both cases they won.
Skokani Olomouc – Sokol Hluboká 1-8 and 0-8
South Czechia players travelled to Hana region and they brought two wins back home. Furthermore, their pitchers only allowed one run in two games. Martin Mužík earned 6 hits and 5 RBI and was the best batter of the day. William Parsons striked out 13 players in seven innings of the first game without allowing any runs. The second game was completely in hands of foreign players. First, Villa Kermin striked out 8 batters in 5 innings, for Alexander Palma to add 10 more strikeouts. Hluboká now has 4 wins from 5 games played in Promotion League.
Blesk Jablonec – Technika Brno 2-4, 1-17 (7 inn.) and 3-5
Jablonec doesn’t hide their ambition to return to Extraliga. They dominated First League, losing only one game. However, their first game against Extraliga team didn’t go well for Blesk, as they lost all three games against Technika. Jablonec kept close to Technika in two of them, losing by 2 runs. The second game, however, went much better for Brno team, who scored 17 runs. It was especially Matěj Menšík who stared as he scored 3 HR.
