EXL: Arrows finally beat Třebíč. Hroši closed in on Tempo

The last three games of the third round of TOP 6 were played on Sunday. Unlike in the previous weeks, none of the teams managed to sweep their opponent.

Třebíč Nuclears – Arrows Ostrava 1-4

Team from Vysočina surely had to think on how to emulate their performance against the Arrows. The bane of Ostrava, who won all 3 games against Arrows in the regular season and took 2 more games on Saturday was to face duo Boris Bokaj and Ondřej Satoria. Arrows pitcher, however, only allowed 1 runs, thanks to which Ostrava won 4-1 and stopped Nuclears from overtaking them in the table.

Hroši Brno – Tempo Praha 7-2

Hroši managed to take advantage of the home field on Sunday and won the game to take the series against Tempo. Visiting batters were unable to bat against Jon Kennedy, who only allowed 2 hits in 7 innings. Home team took a decisive lead in the fourth inning and they didn’t let it go till the end of the game. Thanks to the win, Hroši closed in on Tempo. It now seems likely the both teams will play each other in the semifinals.

Eagles Praha – Draci Brno 12-11

If you thought, after the first two games in Brno, that Draci will make a short process with Eagles, you had to be surprised. Prague started well and were leading 6-1 after three innings. However, Draci scored 6 runs in the sixth inning and it was they who had the momentum. Home team responded well in the seventh inning, as they took the lead thanks to grand slam from Šimon Blažek. Tadeáš Zavadil then closed the game.

With only two rounds remaining, we can see interesting pairs forming in the table. The first three teams can slowly start thinking about the semifinals. The bottom half of the table will have important games ahead of them if they want to get the chance to play for the title.
