EXL: Helder and Johnson players of the week
Duo of foreign players won the fan vote for the Player of the Week, namely Eugene Helder from Draci Brno and Ryan Johnson from Třebíč Nuclears.
Eugene Helder is currently the best batter in TOP 6, which he showed in the previous week. He played in 4 games, getting 5 hits, 2 homeruns, 7 RBI and 2 walks. This meant his OBP reached .636, which was the best performance of the week. Helder became the first batter to win the award more than once this year.
Nuclears pitcher Ryan Johnson won the pitching award for the first time this season. His performance helped Nuclears to the series win against Arrows, where he got on the mound in the fourth inning. He didn’t allow any runs in seven innings and striked out 11 batters. Thanks to this Nuclears were able to mount a comeback and won 2-1 in the extra inning.
