MLB: Vojtěch Menšík was released by LA Angels
Negative news came from over the seas this week. The only Czech player in Minor League Baseball was released by Los Angeles Angels.
Vojtěch Menšík won’t play for Angels Single A team anymore, despite playing 54 games for them. He batted .241 with OBP .356. The last time he played a competitive game for them was on 12th of July. Unfortunately, this year’s draft wasn’t a good thing for young Czech as Angels organization had to release players in order to get their new prospects playing time. Inland Empire also released 3 more players.
Vojtěch Menšík is currently a free agent, who can signed with any MLB organization. He could potentially return to Czech Republic and help Hroši in playoff. Of course, we are not sure whether he is not injured.
