U12 WC: Czechia dealt a blow by USA to begin the tournament

The first game of 2022 U12 World Cup in Taiwan was played on Friday. But Czechs will not remember it fondly.

The young team didn’t start badly, as they had 2 hits in the first inning, however, they were unable to turn them into runs. But the game started crumbling for them in the bottom half of the inning, when Americans rotated their lineup two times, and thanks to 4 HR they scored 14 runs.

Clearly shocked Czechs were unable to mount a comeback and get any more hits. On the other hand, team USA gave an opportunity to their extended roster who added 10 runs in the third inning.

The game finished early on mercy rule.

Matouš Procházka’s team will now play another difficult game against South Korea, which starts at 4:30 of center European summer time.
