JLWS: It took Taiwan to stop Czech team
The brilliant journey of Czechs in Junior League World Series finished in International Final. In it Czechs faced Taiwan youngsters, but where unable to get one over them.
Taiwan, representing Asia-Pacific region, had been dominant, without allowing any runs to their opponents, which meant Czechs had a tough task ahead of them. And once again they were unable to beat their opponent.
Taiwan was yet to allow their opponents a scored run. Czechs thus head a tough task ahead of them, to beat likely the best team of the tournament. However, they were unable to do so and they lost 0-11.
Czechs only had 3 hits in the game. Two of them came from Kristýna El-Ghannam, who also threw 1.2 innings. Third hit came from Matias Takeda.
Despite losing, Czechs achieved the best record for European team, winning 3 games and losing 2. Taiwan will now face South-West region of USA in the finals.
