Czechs scored their first runs in the second inning after hits from Tereza Šustrová a Kateřina Marková and they came one run from tying the score.
France was able to take the game on their side in the third inning, where they pressured starter Tereza Stejspalová. She was substituted by Kristýna El Ghannam. France scored 7 runs. Czechs were then unable to respond against Cassandra Vigneau as they only scored 3 runs in 5 innings.
The game finished in 5 innings with France winning 13-3 as they defended the championship. Czechs improved on their previous record as they bring silver medals back home.
