CBA introduced 2023 European Championship logo and a new partner
Less than a year remains for Men’s European Championship to start and this time, it will be hosted in Czech Republic. Czech Baseball Association decided to reveal a new logo of the championship on Thursday.
The logo itself is dominated by a baseball, surrounded by three colorful elements. These are meant to represent a glove, a bat and a hand. CBA also found the main partner to support the championship. It will be ČEZ Group. „New partner will help us mainly with the young players and trainers,“ said the head of CBA Petr Ditrich. The association also release the web page of the championship at www.eurobaseball2023.com.
„We will do the best to fulfil the dream of several baseball generations, among which was also I as a player,“ said for the tournament web page manager Pavel Chadim at the press conference. „Eleven different countries won a medal at European Championship in past thirty years, but Czech Republic is still missing one. We want to change that. Of course, it will not be easy, because to play in front of a home crowd will be difficult, we will have to focus on the mental side, but I believe, that fans will help us. It is our dream and we want to make it a reality.“
The hosting cities were also announced. 16 best European teams will play in Prague, Třebíč, Brno, Blansko and Ostrava. The championship will take place between 24th of September and 1st of October.
