EXL: Lukáš Hlouch returns to Třebíč
After playing two seasons for Hroši Brno, Lukáš Hlouch returns to his baseball roots. Based on the information from Czech Baseball Association, he should once again become Třebíč Nuclears player.
Twenty-two year old pitcher joined Hroši in autumn 2020, after he finished the season on loan in Draci Brno. He joined Draci after the end of the regular season, when it was clear Třebíč will not get a chance to play for the title. However, he didn’t have a staller stats in the team, as he finished with 5.16 ERA in 24.1 IP.
He also had a slow start for Hroši, as 2021 was his worst year in Extraliga, when his ERA dropped to 5.89 in 36.2 IP. In the previous season Hlouch only played 4 games in the regular season, throwing 5.2 innings and allowing 3 runs. However, he improved his performance in playoff, throwing 16.1 IP with ERA 3.31 and 14 SO.
Třebíč will now hope that Lukáš Hlouch will carry on his performance from 2018-2020 seasons, when he threw 176.2 innings with 3.06 ERA. This averaged to almost 60 innings per season. Hlouch should be part of Třebíč starting rotation along with Ryan Johnson, Lukáš Pacal and Lukáš Smejkal.
