Ondřej Vank will play for Combine Academy in USA
Winner of 2022 Young Player in Czech Extraliga and a pitcher for Tempo Praha Ondřej Vank will not return to Czech league at the beginning of the season. His steps take him overseas, where he hopes to gain more baseball experience playing for Combine Academy Baseball.
The information was published by the player and the club at social networks. “A huge step forward. Combine allows me to study and play baseball and a high level. Furthermore I will be playing in front of university coaches, where I hope to study and play one day. I believe this decision will bring me closer to fulfilling my dream,” announced Ondřej Vank on his Instagram.
Seventeen year old Vank threw 56.1 innings in Extraliga for Tempo in the previous season, registering 63 SO and 4.00 ERA.
Combine Academy is familiar to Czech players as Milan Prokop and Michal Kovala played there in the previous year.
