College Baseball: Marek Chlup added seventh homerun of the season
Czech players played a large number of college baseball games in the previous weeks, giving them a chance to improve their statistics.
Charleston Southern played 4 games, winning only one of them. Daniel Padyšák played in the game his team won as he threw 2 last innings. He didn’t allow any hits and got 5 out of his 6 outs himself, with strikeouts. Padyšák improved his ERA to 2.00.
North Greenville University also played 4 games and they won all 4. Marek Chlup played each game and affirmed his form. It was especially the first game against Mars Hill where he played well, as he blasted a three run homerun and gave his team 6-0 lead. Chlup didn’t get a hit only in the last of 4 games, against UNC Pembroke, but he added a walk to his statistics. Despite this he holds an impressive .439 BA.
Martin Zelenka played for Pitt Community College when they faced Bryant&Stratton College. In the first game he helped his team to 14-3 win with 3 hits and 3 RBI. In the second game Pitt lost 8-16, but Zelenka added 1 hit and a walk. He’s currently the best batter on his team with BA .390.
Northeastern Junior College played several games as well. We only have statistics from Monday game against Trinidad State College, where NJC won and lost a game. Tomáš Říčný played in the win, adding 2 hits and 2 RBI, along with a walk. Thanks to this he now holds BA .444 and is the third best hitter of his team.
Marcus Weinzimer didn’t play for Santa Barbara this time. His school played two games against Allan Hancock with both ending up in a narrow loss.
