EXL: Alec Lemmon will play for Hluboká
Baseball Jobs Overseas announced another interesting news from Czech Extraliga. Sokol Hluboká signed a familiar name as American Alec Lemmon joins their ranks.
Lemmon is known to Czech fans as he played past two seasons for Arrows Ostrava. He threw 108.2 innings with ERA 3.39 and 152 SO.
Before moving in Ostrava, Lemmon played 4 seasons in D2 NCAA. His best season came in 2017 where he finished with ERA 4.50.
After the previous season, rumors swirled claiming Lemmon didn’t want to continue with baseball. However, it seems he found a new motivation in offseason and according to our sources, he contacted Extraliga teams himself, inquiring whether any would be interested in signing him. In the end, it looks like he found a new employer in south Bohemia.
