EXL: Peter Saldaña is now Technika Brno player
Extraliga club Technika Brno announced new signing in MVP of 2022 Prague Baseball Week Peter Saldaña.
Twenty six year old American studied at Menlo University where he played 2 seasons. He had quiet a success in the offense in his first season in 2017 when he ended with BA .303. The season later his average dropped to .161. He then moved around the world, playing in lower leagues. He also worked in financial department for Oakland Athletics in 2019.
Saldaña spent previous year in Austria, playing in the second best national league for Schwaz Tigers. He absolutely dominated at bat with BA .541 and OBP .638. He also added 9 HR in 12 games. This performance earned him invite to Hakusah Globetrotters with which he played international tournament Finkstonball, as well as Prague Baseball Week. He also became the winner of homrun derby at Finkstonball and earned MVP award in PBW.
Saldaña plays as a catcher, but he can also play the first base. He is also available as a pitcher.
