CB: Tomáš Říčný named Player of the Game two times
Four Czechs played in college baseball in the previous week.
Charleston Southern played a series with Longwood over the weekend. Daniel Padyšák played in two games. He threw 2.1 innings in the first without allowing any runs and striking out 3 batters. After winning 5-0 he earned Save as well. In the second game he stepped on the mound in the fourth inning, after his teammate allowed first two batters score with a solo homerun. This time Padyšak wasn’t doing so well after he allowed a hit and walked 2 in an inning.
North Greenville University played only one game against North Georgia. In the end NGU won 7-3 and they currently hold 38-6 record. Marek Chlup played as a leadoff, but this time he finished without a hit.
Martin Zelenka playing for Pitt Community College had a busy week, when his team played 5 games. He took part in 4 of them, earning 1hit and 3 walks in the first. In the second he added a hit, and in the third 2 hits. Unfortunately for him Pitt Community only wone 1 out of 4 games. Despite this, Zelenka is still the best batter of the team with BA .380.
Tomáš Říčný and hist Northeaster Junior College played several games against McCook Community College. We only know the results, not statistics, however. Czech player was named Player of the Game when his team won 17-7. It was the second time in the previous week, since he added 3 hits, 1 HR and 3 RBI in Wednesday 7-12 win.
Marcus Weinzimer didn’t play for Santa Barbara this time. His team won 2 times after beating Cuesta 6-5 and Oxnard 8-3.
