EXL: Mendoza entered the league with seven RBI

Gabriel Beicker Mendoza joined Draci for Eugene Helder, who returned to Italian Serie A in the offseason. And Mendoza showed in his first game he should be a worthy replacement.

He showed his value when he significantly helped Draci against Tempo Praha, where his team won 16-6 and Mendonza himself had 7 RBI. Venezuelan player batted third and his role was to send first two batters home.

Mendoza first got into statistics in the second inning, where he was the first batter to face Šimon Drápele. After his hit Tempo played out at the second base, but Draci scored fourth run. In the third inning Mendonza hit a doube and got 2 more RBI, for him to add another double in the fifth inning which resulted in 2 more RBI. He then finished his scoring outburst in the sixth inning with a solo homerun.

Mendoza is only the fourth Draci player since 2016 to have at least 7 RBI. Only Filip Moštěk got more in 2020 against Arrows Ostrava.
