EXL: Třebíč exchanged their foreigner. Strilchuk comes for Beaudet
In February we wrote that Vysočina team should sign Teddy Beaudet. However, Beaudet got injured shortly before his arrival to Extraliga and Nuclears had to search for a replacement in haste. And they found one in Russell Strilchuk who already played a game in Ostrava.
It is the second gig in Europe for twenty five year old player, who played the previous season in German top league for Neunkirchen. He did well there, after having BA .409 in 15 games and OBP .594. He also played for Australian Golden Grove Dodgers in winter, where he finished with .368/.381/.789. Based on our info Třebíč got good references for the player from Czech player who played in the league over the winter as well
Strilchuk should be a power hitter as more than a third of his hits at university finished as an extra hit.
He played at third base in his first game in Extraliga and batted as a leadoff. He also got his first hit in Extraliga against Arrows. Nuclears could potentially use Strilchuk as a pitcher, where he occasionally played throughout his career.
