MiLB: Adam Macko with the first start for Vancouver
Adam Macko had to wait until 20th of April for his first opportunity to pitch this year. After being traded from Seattle Mariners to Toronto Blue Jays organization in winter, we were waiting for Macko’s start. As luck would have it, his first game was against his former team Everett AquaSox.
Lefthanded pitcher, who started his career in Apollo Bratislava, introduced himself with a good performance. In 4 innings he pitched he only allowed 2 runs, 4 hits and 1 walk. He also had 7 strikeouts on 65 pitches.
Adam Macko left the mound while Vancouver was 3-2 ahead. The score remained unchanged until the 8th inning, where AquaSox scored 2 runs and in the end they won the entire game 4-3. Despite the loss, Macko was named Player of the Game.
