CB: Tomáš Říčný named Northeastern Junior College MVP

One of the last reviews of college baseball for this year brings more news on Czech players overseas.

Charleston Southern played 3 games against USC Upstate in their second to last week. They won one and lost two. Daniel Padyšák played in the third game, when he stepped on the mound as a reliever in the 4th inning. He didn’t have a good game, allowing 5 runs and walking 3 in 3.2 innings he pitched. His ERA is now 2.70. CSU will now wrap up the regular season with a series against Gardner-Webb.

Marek Chlup had a bye week. They, however, found out their schedule for NCAA Division II Baseball Championship. They will start the tournament on Thursday, playing against the better of Mount Olive – Ga. Southwestern game.

Říčný finished with BA .468 and was not only the best on his team, but of whole Region 9. It is no surprise he was announced Northeastern Junior College MVP.
