EXL: Draci and Hroši with a comeback in the end. Eagles beat Tempo once again

Extraliga TOP 6 started with three games on Friday and there were plenty of interesting moments to witness.

Draci Brno – Sokol Hluboká 6-4

The first game of the series saw visitors score first, as they took advantage of an uncertain throwing from Juan Jaime, and scored 4 runs in the third inning. The visitors could tremble at that moment as Alec Lemmon didn’t allow them much.

Draci scored their first run in the 5th inning, which was scored in by Michal Šindelka. He was also at works with the next run scored that came in the 7th inning where he reached the base and after a hit from Jakub Winkler, he scored the tying game. Šindelka wrapped up his great game with 2 RBI in the 8th that gave Draci the lead.

Jaime got back to his old ways after the 3rd inning and remained on the mound for 8 innings without allowing any runs. Jackson Solarte then came in and got the Save. Draci entered TOP 6 with a win and beat Hluboká for the first time in the season.

Eagles Praha – Tempo Praha 7-3

Both managers sent in Czech pitcher in this Prague derby and it was especially Albert Pražák who had a great outing. He went through the lineup with 6 strikeouts and Tempo had to wait till the 4th inning to get the lead thanks to RBI single from Martin Zelenka.

Marek Minařík also threw well for Tempo, as he kept Eagles scoreless for 4 innings. Gehrig Octavio tied the game in the 5th inning thanks to a solo homerun and Jan Výbora sent in the second run in the 6th. Seventh inning saw home team completely dominate against Tempo starter, adding 5 runs and a comfortable lead.

Eagles also have Tadeáš Zavadil to close the game, as he only allowed 1 run. Eagles showed that start of TOP 6 and home field really suits them. Furthermore, players from Krč snapped 3 game losing streak, dragging from the regular season. Tempo lost 3 out of 4 games against Eagles so far.

Třebíč Nuclears – Hroši Brno 9-12

We got to see a crazy duel at Vysočina. Třebíč took a quick 1-0 lead, but Hroši awoke afterwards and were leading 8-1 after 4 innings. Tomáš Ondra lost his series without a walk, when Russell Strilchuk got on base on balls in the second inning.

And it was the American who was one of the main players for Třebíč when he blasted a three run homerun in the sixth inning. Home team then took the 9-8 lead again in the 7th inning.

However, the end was all about the visitors. Thanks to errors from Nuclears they scored 4 runs in the 9th and the finally broke their opposition. Nuclears can rue the errors when they finished with 6 of them. Hroši also didn’t finish errorless, but they „only“ had 3 of them. Despite this, visitors started TOP 6 with a win.
