EXL: Hroši with Matěj Menšík beat Technika. Draci finished first

Two more games were played in Czech Extraliga on Saturday and we could see last year’s finalist take the win in both of them.

Technika Brno – Hroši Brno 3-14 (F/7)

Matěj Menšík in Hroši colors against Technika. If you think this is a nonsense, you are wrong. One of the main men for Technika joined the city rival and his first game was against his own team. Hroši substituted him early and he didn’t face his team in the offense. They, however, used Tayler Smith for the first time.

But Hroši got offensive production from different player. Lukáš Trunkát and Jan Pospíšil both got 4 hits and 3 runs each. Petr Čech suplemented them with a two run homerun. Hroši severely outscored their opponent and the game finished after 7 innings.

Brno team still has a game ahead of them, this time against Hluboká. Were they to succeed, they will finish second in the regular season. The opposite outcome will see them drop to the third place after Třebíč.

Draci Brno – Tempo Praha 7-2

Draci’s form improved as the regular season came to an end, which they showed against Tempo. Prague team didn’t arrive to Brno with the best the had, which home team took advantage of. They started quickly scoring 3 runs in the first inning.

Draci starter Jhenderson Hurtado didn’t allow any runs in his 4th start and he still keeps ERA 0.00. Tempo first scored against Václav Tauš, after Aleš Nepomucký blasted a two run homerun. But home pitchers didn’t allow them more. Furthermore Juan Jaime closed the game with 3 strikeouts in the 9th inning.

In the end, Draci beat their opponent 7-2 and will finish the first after regular season. Tempo will have to wait for the results from Hluboká.
