Arrows won against Rouen and are close to Champions Cup semifinals
Players of Arrows Ostrava won their second game of three on Thursday after they beat French Rouen Husskies 5-1.
Ostrava started Boris Bokaj on the mound, who had a great game when he only allowed one run in six innings. Arrows were leading 5-0 at the time.
Czechs built the decisive lead in the fourth inning, when they scored 4 runs after a series of hits. Jakub Kubica then batted in the fifth run two innings later and ended up, along with Graf-Brenen with 2 RBI.
Jan Kozel then came in to close the game and he didn’t allow any runs to French. Young pitcher currently holds ERA 0.00 on the tournament.
Ostrava holds 2-1 record after the group stage and are close to advancing to semifinals. They will know for certain if HCAW wins the night game. On the other hand, Bonn’s win would throw a wrench to their plans.
