CB: Good week for Marek Chlup and Daniel Padyšák

Czech Baseball still has two player overseas and both of them had a successful week.

Daniel Padyšák played his first two games in MLB Draft League and he’s having a good start. In his first game he stepped on the mound for the last two innings where he didn’t allow any runs and earned 3 K. He also earned his first save as Spikes won 4-0. He then played in the game against Crosscutters on Sunday, where he threw three innings in relief. Padyšák only allowed one this and striked out 8 batters. It was one of the reasons why his team won 9-4. He is now the only pitcher of the league to have double digit in strikeouts.

North Greenville University started NCAA Division II Baseball Championship with a game against Augustan. It was a pitching duel for a long time as NGU was 0-1 behind before the eighth inning. However, Michael Faile then batted in 2 runs and gave NGU the lead. Marek Chlup came after him, and with his two run homerun he sealed the win for NGU, keeping them in winning bracket. They will play Angelo State University on Tuesday.
