Excellent pitching performance for U21 Draci in Extraliga
Fans got to see an excellent pitching performance as a part of Draci’s doubleheader against Třebíč on Sunday in U21 Extraliga. Brno pitchers didn’t allow any runs scored and they didn’t allow any hits for 9 straight innings.
Duo Vojtěch Ventruba and Vincent Major threw a combined no-hitter in the first game. Unfortunately for the pitchers, the game finished on mercy rule after five innings and thus we cannot count it as an official no-hitter (we only count games with at least seven innings thrown).
The second game saw Patrik Moštěk follow the suit, when he threw 4 innings without a hit allowed. Nuclears got their first hit in the tenth inning of the doubleheader, when Tomáš Urbánek stepped on the mound. Jakub Milík then threw the last five outs. Neither of the pitchers allowed any runs, however, and Draci won 4-0.
Draci Brno are currently third in the standings, with Prague team SaBaT (13-8) and Eagles (10-11) ahead of them. After two loses, Třebíč dropped to the fourth place with 10-12 record.
