EXL: Draci Brno ensured semifinals spot

Troubles for home teams continued on Sunday in TOP 6 as it were only the visitors who took the wins.

The third game between Draci and Tempo was all about Draci. They took the lead in the first inning and continued to increase it. The major difference in the score came in the fourth inning where they scored six runs. Jakub Hajtmar had a good game in the offense with 3 hits and 5 RBI. Jan Nebenführ took the win, when he threw 6 innings, only allowing one run. The last out came from an unusual source, Arnošt Dubový. Beside winning 12-5 Draci had another reason to celebrate, as their 12-2 record ensured they will advance to the semifinals.

Třebíč lost two times at home, and they needed to beat Eagles away. On the other hand home team had a chance to create a gap between them and their opponent. The score was tied at 1-1 after five innings, when both Jeffrey Barto and Matyáš Trčka kept their opponents in check. The sixth inning changed everything, however, when Nuclears scored 5 runs, huge part due to a three run homerun from Ryan Johnson. Canadian player then stepped on the mound and he only allowed two more runs to Eagles for the rest of the game, ensuring Třebíč won 7-3. Both teams currently hold 6-9 record, with Eagles ahead thanks to better result of the series.

After two wins in Southern Bohemia Hroši got a chance to sweep their opponent at home. Furthermore they started Tomáš Ondra who has a great season so far. However, this start wasn’t meant to be for him, as he only remained on the mound for 2 innings, and allowed 5 runs. John Hussey continued in the similar manner, when he allowed 5 runs. Sokolo had a good offensive game in general, when they finished with 21 hits. Most of them came from Martin Mužík who had 4 hits and 1 HR. Hluboká won 12-3 and improved their record to 4-11. South Bohemians keep their semifinal hope alive, while Hroši, with 5-9 record, are 1 win behind the 4th place.
