Petr Čech is the newest member of Homerun Club
We misinformed about Petr Čech joining Homerun Club in the previous year, since homeruns from Czech Baseball Cup don’t count towards this. In the end we had to wait almost 9 months, till Čech officially joined.
It happened in the second game of the series between Hroši and Hluboká. Čech blasted the ball from Petr Vojta behind the fence, which meant he joined the elite homerun club.
Petr Čech became the 18th member of the club, which is still reigned by Pavel Budský who has 168 homeruns. There are only 5 players with more than 100 homeruns, beside Budský it’s Matěj Hejma, Martin Střítecký, Jiří Víšek and Jakub Malík.
