EXL: Draci Brno close to defending the title
The third game of the final series was played in a scorching heat in Brno. We got to see a close game which ended up better for the home team.
Draci managed to get a three run lead in the first inning and they gave their starter Juan Jaime some leeway. And Dominican paid them back by not allowing any hits for five innings.
However, visitors found the way to score in the sixth inning and they made the game much more dramatic with two runs scored. However, Prague player had a smaller collision with a referee in the following half inning and Tempo lost national team’s Filip Smola. He had to leave the field with help of the trainers and thus Prague will have one more headache.
Visiting starter Adonai Guttierrez had a good game and he left the game after six innings while the score was 2-3. Tadeáš Kalčev added a clear inning, but home team forced him out of the game in the eighth inning and Štěpán Dupal came in instead. He played two outs, but after Jakub Winkler’s hit Draci got the fourth run.
The ninth inning showed how important this run was, when Marek Minařík batted in Tempo’s third run. Closer Jackson Solarte didn’t allow more runs and thanks to two important catches from Jakub Winkler in the outfield Draci took the win.
Home team played young Šimon Klacl for the first time this season. He got two hits and also a flowless performance in the defense.
After a 4-3 win Draci lead the series and they only need one win to win the title. The fourth game will be played in Prague on Saturday.
