Alex Derhak will go to NPB Spring training
The collaboration between Japanese professional club Chiba Lotte Mariners and Czech Baseball Association is certainly not just a publicity stunt. One of the trainers of the national team, Alexander Derhak, will travel to Japan in spring.
The information was brought by Yahoo Japan. There were several excited comments under the article. „Excellent!“ wrote one of the fans. Another added „It’s nice to have such an interaction.“ It would seems that both Czech players and trainers are still in high demand in Japan.
European team will also travel to Japan in spring, with Pavel Chadim as one of the trainers. The exclusive information also say there should be at least three Czech players traveling, too.
Program Mariners-Czech Baseball Bridge is supported by Panasonic HVAC Company, which promotes baseball in Czech Republic and supports cultural exchange focusing on sports. It was created in collaboration with Czech center in Tokyo (under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic) and it actively supports international exchange through baseball.
