EXL: Jakub Malík moved to the second place in number of RBI
Beside a crazy game in Vysočina we also got to see baseball history being rewritten. Ostrava’s Jakub Malík moved to the second place in the RBI historical table.
Ostrava captain entered the game with 615 RBI in Extraliga and he was only one RBI behind his teammate Aleš Navrátil. He batted in his first run in the first inning when Jakub Kubica reached the home base.
He is still a long way from legendary Pavel Budský who has 859 RBI. Martin Střílecký, who already finished his playing career, is currently in the fourth place with 608 RBI.
Malík also moved to the fourth place in runs, adding 2 to his 570.
