EXL: Kotlářka scoreless against Draci for the third time
A postponed game between Draci and Kotlářka was played in Brno on Monday. And Prague team had a chance to win the first game of the series.
Prague team was unable to score any runs in the two previous games. But their issues in the offense were on display on Monday as well, as Kotlářka once again remained scoreless, despite having a number of good scoring chances. They had runners on third base several times but none of the opportunities was turned into runs. Even the good pitching from Wesley Roemer, who only allowed one hit to his former team in five innings, wasn’t enough for Kotlářka.
Jose Medina also had a good game for the hosts, when he threw six innings, where he only allowed 2 hits and walked one batter. Draci were unusually erroneous in the defense as Prague got most of their chances after errors. Jan Vašourek then came in for Medina and he continued in good pitching performance where he didn’t allow any runs in three innings.
The winner was decided in the eighth inning, when Draci leadoff Edgar Munoz came to the batting box. He got walked and Jonáš Krejčí then hit the ball to the right field. Adam Matuška was unable to field it cleanly and Munoz managed to reach the third base. Arnošt Dubový then batted in the only run of the game.
Draci swept Kotlářka in the series and currently hold 7-3 record, being tied for the first place in the standings with Nuclears and Hroši.
