EXL: Marek Rejman is the oldest Extraliga player with a hit
Marek Rejman celebrated his 52nd birthday on Tuesday. And on Saturday he got to celebrate with an Extraliga hit. As noticed by the baseball-stat.cz project, he became the oldest player in Extraliga history to get a hit.
It happened in the bottom half of the fourth inning, in the game between Kotlářka and Tempo. Rejman hit a ball against the visiting Ali Ascania and overtook Ivo Kučera in the hitting statistic.
Aleš Navrátil is the closest active player who could get a chance to become the oldest player with a hit, who is also over 50 and currently occasionally plays for Arrows Ostrava. But he will need at least 2 years of active play to get the record.
