Incredible success. Czechs tied Taiwan 2-2
Czech national team played the first game of Asia Tour on Saturday and the game already ended in a great success when Czechs finished tied with the hosts in Taipei Dome.
Czechs started the game in the best way possible after Martin Červenka blasted a two-run homerun to the left field. And it could be three runs, however, hosts tested Willie Escala’s aggressive baserunning after a hit from Marek Chlup. Despite the efforts from the Czech coaching staff, the decision on field was not reverted after a review.
To byla pecka!

The game also contained Pitch Cloak, which we don’t get to see in the Czech Republic. This, however, was not an issue to Czech starter Daniel Padyšák who finished the first inning with 3 strikeouts. Taiwan only figured out how to bat against him in the third inning when Rakuten Monkeys‘ Li Lin batted in the first run.
The score remained at 1-2 until the bottom half of the eighth inning. Jan Tomek and Lukáš Hlouch were able to pitch a solid game and hosts were unable to score against them. It was only against Filip Čapka when Song-en Tseng double batted in the second run.
Filip Čapka was tasked by keeping the score tied in the ninth inning. The first out came after an impressive cohesion between Červenka and Mužík.
