Slovak Baseball League with big changes
Top Slovak baseball league will start on 5th of April this year. This time we can look forward to the new teams, despite Maceitos Jelka not signing up for the season.
This means Slovak Baseball League will be expanded to 10 means, with 4 Hungarian teams added. These will be EIB Red Wolves, EIB Aeros, EIB Tigers, and EIB Sleepwalkers.
Letters „EIB“ can also show that SBL will also include European Interleague Baseball which was on hiatus in 2024. The previous year was played by 3 teams, which we will see in SBL (Apollo, Wolves, Aeros).
On the other hand, we won’t see Maceitos Jelka and the second Angels Trnava team. Trnava should be a part of U23 Extraliga, along with Apollo next year. On the other hand, Jelka is not even part of the lower league which takes part in Topoľčany.
