College Baseball: Martin Zelenka back in the game

College baseball in USA nears the end of spring season. In the previous week we got to see five Czech players.

Daniel Padyšák played two dimensionally different games. First, he played against Clemson on Tuesday, where he threw excellent hitless innings, where he struck out 4. In the end the game lasted 15 innings and Georgia won 4-3. The second crazy games came on Saturday. Georgia was leading 9-0 in the first inning, but in the end Texas A&M won 9-19. Czech pitcher was the last one to step on the mound and this time he allowed 3 HR and 5 R in an inning.

Michal Kovala, playing for Georgia Tech, only played on Friday against Miami. He threw 2 outs while his team lost 4-6 and he only need 3 pitches to do so. He also improved his ERA to 2.93.

Martin Zelenka returned to UNC Wilmington after a hiatus when he played as a catcher against William&Mary. He added 1H from 3AB to his stats, but unfortunately his team lost 1-4.

Pitt Community played 4 games in the previous week with Jan Pospíšil playing in all of them. But the first one was his best, as he finished with 3 hits. He then finished the quartet of the games on Sunday against Fayetteville with 2 more hits and 2 RBI. Unfortunately, Pitt only won one of the four games and is currently in the 4th place behind Fayetteville, with only 4 games left.

Diablo Valley, with Nicolas O’Rourke, already finished their regular season. Czech played all three games in the previous week and the first one against Folsom Lake was the best for him, when he had 2 hits and 1 RBI. He finished the regular season with BA .242 and OBP .329. On the mound he threw 20.2 innings with ERA 6.97. Diablo Valley finished with 5-19 record on the second to last place in the conference.
