Martin Mužík will play for Sokol Hluboká
Czech national baseball team player Martin Mužík will not wear the Kotlářka Praha jersey next year. After Sokol Hluboká secured the promotion to the Czech Extraliga, it was expected that 24 year old baseball player would return to the team where he started his baseball career.
Martin Mužík announced his decision on social networks: (translated) “Wonderful 7 seasons! Friends, teammates, but more importantly the family! It was great, but now it’s time to return. I return to my hometown Hluboká, where the baseball started for me. There’s nothing else left for me to say, but thank you for everything!”.
Martin Mužík was a member of 2015 Kotlářka team that won their only Czech Extraliga title. Last time he played for Hluboká was in 2013, where he ended with BA .450 in 24 games.
Besides Mužík, Hluboká will see two more returnees, brothers Matěj and Vojtěch Vlach. They both played their first season for Kotlářka Praha this year and will hope to use the experience they gained to help their new team.
