EXL: Lukáš Hlouch will play for Hroši Brno

Czech national team pitcher, currently playing for Třebíč Nuclears, Lukáš Hlouch is switching the teams for next season. Instead of playing for the team from Vysočina region, Hlouch will move to Brno after he and Hroši Brno came to an agreement. The player confirmed this information for the On_Deck podcast, which is released by Czech Baseball Association.

[trans.] “I decided to move from Třebíč to Brno for the next season. More specifically to Hroši [Brno],” said Hlouch. “The main reason is John Hussey who is the pitching coach there. He is a huge inspiration for me and we are also good friends. I like his style and training process. Next year, and hopefully not only the next season, I will be playing for Hroši Brno.”

Lukáš Hlouch and John Hussey met in the same club in 2019 season, when Hlouch joined Draci Brno for the playoff. After the season John Hussey left the club and agreed to join Hroši, where he finished his Brno cycle. Hussey also played for Technika Brno from 2015 to 2017.

Nineteen year old Hlouch pitched 55.7 innings in the regular season for Nuclears this year, with ERA 3.07 and 39 strikeouts. In the Promotion league he pitched 39 more innings, registering 46 strikeouts with ERA 2.08. Along with Lukáš Pacal he became the best starting pitcher in the Promotion league.
