EXL: Petr Čech returns to Arrows Ostrava
The information was first hinted by Draci Brno’s head coach Hynek Čapka. Now the player himself confirmed he will be moving from Brno back to Ostrava in On_Deck podcast that is published by Czech Baseball Association.
[trans.] „I will play for Ostrava next year,“ confirmed the experienced national player. [trans.] „I’m really looking forward to. Draci are more calm, Ostrava brings more emotions. I’m looking forward to the fans and the the games in Ostrava. I would still like to play with the guys I grew up with, such as Jakub Malík. Ostrava has a strong team that can reach the title. Besides, they will play Champions Cup.“
Petr Čech returns to the team he entered the Czech Extraliga with in 2003. In 2016 he moved to Draci, where he played four and half seasons. He played 15 seasons in Czech Extraliga, with .337/.411/.480 in regular season.
