College Baseball: Season started for Padyšák and Menšík

Three Czech baseball players were in action during Sunday college games. Beside Marek Chlup, the season started for Vojtěch Menšík and Daniel Padyšák.

Daniel Padyšák was the first to play a ball game on Sunday, when he started on the mound for Charleston Southern who faced a strong team from Boston College. Czech international had a tough going against his opponents. In the end, Padyšák lasted three innings, where he allowed 5R and 5BB. Boston College won all three games against CSU.

Season also started for Vojtěch Menšík, whose NC State had to search for an opponent after the series against VMI got postponed. In the end, they put together a doubleheader against Davidson Wild Cats. Menšík had to wait four innings to get his first hit of the season. Despite a dominant win 13-3 in the first game, Menšík showed better performance in the second game, with two hits. After getting on the base in the eighth inning, the opponent managed to catch Menšík stealing.

North Greenvile, with Marek Chlup in the lineup, played two more games against Emmanuel College. The first game saw Chlup without a hit for the first time in the season. Nevertheless, he still managed to get a run and help his team to 4-0 win. Second game was the closest in the series. In the end, NGU won thanks to two homeruns in the last two innings. Chlup got a hit in the second game.
