College Baseball: Grand slam for Menšík
Another week of college baseball started in USA and so far it looks like it might be a good one for Czech players.
NC State played their first game against UNCW on Tuseday and after a series of losses, they could finally celebrate. Vojtěch Menšík added two hits to his tally. But it was the Friday’s game that impressed the fans more, after Menšík blasted a grand slam homerun in the second inning, giving his team 5-0 lead.
North Greenville with Marek Chlup played a doubleheader and got two decisive wins. Coaches wanted to play players who are not usually the part of the team core roster, and so Chlup only played one game. In it, he managed to get on the base four times, he blasted a HR and earned 3 RBI.
