EXL: American Jimmy Smiley announced for Jablonec
Extraliga newcomer Jablonec announced American Jimmy Smiley will play for the team in the following season.
Smiley will turn 21 in April. He will arrive to Czech Republic after years in American university leagues, where he primarily played reliever and closer. He can also help out with his bat. In 2018 Smiley played 21 games as DH in college Sunset Baseball League, with .235 BA. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, ho only pitched 5.2 IP last season.
