College Baseball: Prokop had five hits. Chlup with yet another homerun
Today’s college baseball roundup brings you the results from the past three days. And once again Czech players didn’t disappoint.
NC State played two games. First on Wednesday against North Carolina A&T they won 10-4. Vojtěch Menšík got an RBI in the first inning. On Friday NC State played against much tougher opponent when they played at Frank Eck Stadium, the home of Notre Dame. Unfortunately, home team narrowly won 2-3 and Menšík didn’t add another hit to his statistics.
North Greenville played a doubleheader against Belmont Abbey College on Friday. In the first game NGU won 16-7 and Marek Chlup was playing well. He earned 3 H, one of which was a homerun. This was 11th HR on the season for the young Czech. He was only missing a triple to Cycle. Second game wasn’t as positive for NGU after Belmont offensive performance saw them winning 11-1 after four innings. Marek Chlup added one more hit. His BA is .412 on the season now.
Combine Academy played three games on Friday and Milan Prokop wasn’t missing in the lineup. In the first game, he added two hits, helping his team to 13-3 win against Farragut High School. In the second game he added two more hits thanks to which Combine won 9-3 against Bearden High School. In the third game Prokop added another hit, however, his team still lost 2-9 against Hardin Valley Academy.
